Allotment holders will be receiving a letter in the next few days to inform them that South Swindon Parish Council will be taking over the administration of the allotment sites from 1 October 2017.
The letter also contains details of the charges to be paid on 1 October 2017 and parishioners will see a reduction in their fees. If you unclear whether you are a parishioner please see the map below.
The fees to be paid on 1 October 2017 will be:
Parishioners Full Plot £46 Half Plot £23
Parishioners 65 and over Full Plot £42 Half Plot £21
Non-Parishioner Full Plot £61 Half Plot £30.50
Notice is also given that the fees for non-parishioners will increase to double the parishioner price from 1 October 2018. This is because the Parish Council does not receive any funding from non-parishioner through the Council Tax.
Allotment Holders have also been invited to an Allotment Holders Meeting on Thursday 21 September 2017 at 6.30pm at Broadgreen Community Centre. It is understood that a meeting of SALGA on the same evening and an additional meeting will be arranged in early October for those people that cannot attend the first meeting. More detail about the second meeting will follow.
