The Parish Council has brought the history of World War 1 to life by displaying banners containing the photographs of serving soldiers and some information about their part in the war. Some of the stories are quite poignant with soldiers being as young as 16 years old.
They are all displayed around trees in the park and there are 25 to find. The Parish Council are indebted to local historian Mark Sutton, who provided the information and the photographs.
Cllr Chris Watts, Chair of South Swindon Parish Council said 'This is incredibly important. We are of a generation that does not know any of this first hand.'
The display will be in place for the whole of November.
