South Swindon Parish Council took over the running of Old Town Library from 1 September 2017.

The library has been refurbished by the Parish Council and is now divided into 2 distinct section. One is for adult books and the other is dedicated entirely to younger children.

There are lots of events taking place at Old Town Library including the regular storytime.

PLEASE NOTE that Story Time at Old Town Library has become very popular if you would like to attend you will need to book a free ticket on the Eventbrite website.

The decision to ticket Story, Rhyme and Craft sessions and cap the total number of attendees has been made to ensure everyone's comfort and most importantly safety.  With numbers at a sensible level the sessions will be able to provide what they are designed for - a time to bond, learn, be creative and have fun!

Tickets are FREE and ONE ticket allows entry to a maximum of 3 people (adults/babies/children are all included in this total). An exception of 4 people will be made with twins, then 2 children and 2 adults will be allowed in on one ticket.

A valid ticket, either printed or on your mobile, must be shown at the door to gain entry, the doors will be closed at 11.15am & 2pm respectively and no further entry will be allowed.

A big thank you to all library members big and small who support Old Town Library, we know these sessions are valued by you and we really do look forward to seeing you on Tuesdays!
